Ident Project Proposal

By the British Broadcasting I have been asked to produce a range of fresh innovative i-dents/ stings to use as links between television shows. They are planning to repeat a number of old sci-fi and supernatural television shows which includes a series of scientific shows for BBC 3 to show the re-mastered film Metropolis. The themes for i-dents/ stings is Supernatural, Alien and Robotic, these can be broken down into further subheadings. I-dent should be 3seconds long with incorporate movement or animation with music.

The main body should be designed character chosen from the theme list. The concept should b be simple and not overly complex, also related to an art movement- Art Deco or Pop Art style which should be considered. The BBC logo should appear on i-dent/sting, it can be redesigned to fit into theme if it would enhance i-dent / sting further.

My intention for this project is to produce a sketchbook full of inspirations and experiments made on Photoshop well as free hand. I would like to show many of my ideas for the BBC i-dents/stings which also will be based on the artist I have been asked to search for well as some responds made for each of the artist so that I can show the understanding of the art he chose to design. Feather on I will show my final outcome that I think is the most common with the BBC i-dent. The storyboard will represent my final outcome that for shore later on will be slightly changed through the time making. I will make presentation of my idea and concepts with justification for target market and theme. For the last process I will show the details of the team that designed it with a clear record of the development process to prove the authenticity.

The artists I been asked to search for same as the ones I would like to search for on my own is---------. They are the most creative artists where they work can be combine together with the i-dent, also I will search for many other I-dents well as the movies that the artists have put they creativity into. Many of they work is unrealistic, hard to make but also so interesting to create and combine together with a i-dent. I look forwards to this project and I hope the ending effect will be really interesting to watch.
