Brighton Fringe Festival - website

Brighton Fringe is the largest arts festival in England which makes it unique the unique place which is Brighton, a city with heritage, which set the pace of diversity and creativity. It sets out to stimulate, educate and entertain a wide audience by providing an opportunity to present various forms of art.

It is an open access festival, which means that anyone
can put on the event who is included in the brochure and website listing and has been paid. Brighton Fringe can include any art forms. The selection criteria are imposed on the participants, enabling the development work of new, or earlier contestants.

Brighton Fringe is an organization that supports artists, producers and autcomes. Brighton Fringe office provides a platform and a number of marketing tools to promote the events involved, as well as one stop ticket facility, telephone and on line box office.

Brighton Fringe runs at a similar time to Brighton Festival, taking place for three weeks during May each year. In 2012, the Fringe had over 720 events taking place in over 192 venues across the city.

 A brief history
Brighton and Hove is located two stations from each other on the activities held since the creation of Brighton fringe festival in 1967. Over the years it has increased substantially and have been presented in many different ways on the Fringe, Umbrella, Open, and was renamed as the Brighton Festival Fringe in 2002. Became the company itself, established an independent board years and after a time the name changed to Brighton Fringe. This meant that the difference between the two festivals been more clear: Brighton Festival is a series of events curated and programmed, but provides free access to anyone who wants to and register to participate.

Brighton Fringe is a registered charity that does not rely on public funding where in fact, only 5% of its revenues will come from public sources in 2012. His other sources include participant registration fees, sale of advertising in the brochure and on its website, sponsorship and Friends memberships. The organization also built a portfolio of mutually beneficial partnerships with a number of companies, many of them local to Brighton and Hove
