80s retro idea

I have search for 80s retro front covers of magazines like Vogue, interview and nine to five. The difference I have noticed between the 80s and modern magazines is mainly the style and quality of the photographic picture used. The magazine covers I have chose to look at are mainly representing a women, usually young, the hair and the make-up is best what grab your attention, how natural they look, slightly curly hair which run away from every side. Also the clothes appear in what years these photos were taken, represents what has been going in fashion. Today's famous faces on the magazines are covered with ton of makeup where hair is perfectly arranged by a stylist, usually not by stacking naturally by using many of a chemicals which were only few years ago have entered into production. In the modern magazine now colors are highlighted in photoshops but those times it was much harder to fix the imperfection.

One magazine caught my attention which is visible on the left up corner, it is black and white colour which symbolize the years in which the picture wanted to be represented. This colours also underline the elegance and the classics style where also you can see every detail used. Girl which appears on the front cover can be seen from the modern years which only wants to look of for 80s retro. The difference i can see between them is sharp color. You can see that though of the hair is curly what should make you think it is naturally done but as they were arranged and done by a stylist what can be clear visible. Makeup that highlights her eyes and eyebrows, it appears the particular detail with many of its deficiencies were corrected were used by computer. This can be seen for perfect lines in each of the small and large details where hair has been perfectly arranged. Of course, this picture is very eye catching but I do think it is cheating with the audience and gives them the impression that perfection can be attainable, and that more beautiful it is to be fake than natural. If I had to choose between those two specific styles i would of chose  modern layouts, Mainly by the depth of colors and that perhaps I am more accustomed to the view of such covers than older, but I do prefer more the nature.

What I see that has not changed between the modern and old magazines is the logo style and where it was placed. The use of simple text around which underline what can be found on the following pages. I also can see that the elapsed time of the layout have also not change, only the improved computer technology which by they making models look too perfect for people in every day life which
are trying to get as perfect as people in magazines which are only created mostly  on computer what makes a big problem in this years. By using the naturalness of the time are not typical 80s retro layouts that have something special in itself and most importantly what it does not cover all the natural things.
