Arthur S.W. Chantry II born in year 1954 April 9 in Seattle now is a graphic designer, often associated with the posters and album covers he did for bands from the Pacific Northwest, such as Nirvana, Hole and The Sonics. He is also recognizable for his work in logo design. Chantry designed the cover for Some People Can't Surf, which was written by Julie Lasky. His work has been exhibited at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum of Modern Art, Seattle Art Museum, the Smithsonian and the Louvre.
His artpieces usually represent people's faces, their portraits are most often gave an impression of old made. Obscured lines that overlap in their faces, as for instance the eyes, mouth or covering the whole. The lines he placed on a words, sometimes sentences defined which are related to the photographic topic. The ypography is used more than a simple printed letter in which has always been chosen for the different size and colour of the line backgound. Pictures were black and white, has always been to obtain an effect of old age as well as by the same types of people as they were as the main object where looking like an old stylized fashion. This technique can be used for my development and final piece for straightness and use the same shape but I may see if by the further messages view.
